Tk 55,000cr new ADP for 2012-13 approved
Padma Bridge given Tk 3,000cr block allocation

National Economic Council (NEC) yesterday has approved a Tk 55,000 crore Annual Development Program (ADP) for the coming fiscal year (2012-2013). The approval came from a meeting of the National Economic Council held at the NEC conference room of the city's Sher-e-Bangla Nagar with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair. Senior abinet Ministers including Finance Minister AMA Muhith, Planning Minister Air Vice Marshal (retd) AK Khandker, Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury, and secretaries of the government attended the meeting. The new ADP for the comic fiscal is Tk 14,000 crore higher than that of the current fiscal year’s (2011-12) revised ADP of Tk 41,000 crore. However, the original ADP of the current fiscal was Tk 46,000 crore. In the coming fiscal year’s total ADP allocation of Tk 55,000 crore, Tk 33,500 crore (or 61 percent) will come from the government exchequer while the remaining Tk 21,500 crore (or 39 percent) will come from donor agencies under project finance assistance.
