Foreign Minister Dipu Moni will brief diplomats today which was scheduled for Sunday.
Issues like the latest political situation and the arrest of Odhikar secretary Adilur Rahman Khan are likely to dominate the briefing, diplomatic sources said.
Earlier, the Foreign Minister postponed her prescheduled briefing for foreign diplomats, minutes before it was to start at 3:00pm at her ministry on Sunday.
The journalists who had been at the ministry to cover the event today got a text message that reads: ‘Briefing for the diplomats has been cancelled due to unavoidable circumstances.’
Official sources said the briefing was postponed as it was about to coincide the prime minister’s press conference. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina spoke at a press conference yesterday afternoon at her official residence Ganobhaban.
Dipu Moni earlier briefed the diplomats and representatives of development partners jointly and in separate groups on various issues from March 7.
