Nine people were killed and 19 others injured in separate road accidents in Comilla, Moulvibazar, Dhaka and Naogaon districts on Saturday night and Sunday.
In Comilla, three people were killed and two others injured in a head-on-collision between a covered van and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw on Dhaka-Chittagong highway at Matiara in Sadar Dakkhin upazila in the afternoon.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Highway police said the Dhaka-bound covered-van collided head-on with the three-wheeler coming from opposite direction around 2pm, leaving an auto passenger killed on the spot and four others injured.
The injured were rushed to Comilla Medical College Hospital where two of them died.
Sylhet correspondent reports: Two people were killed and eight others injured when a jeep overturned at Kalighat in Srimangal upazila of Moulvibazar district at noon.
The deceased were identified as Ajay Banerjee, 32, son of Raju Banerjee, and Farid Uddin, 60 of Harinchhara village in the upazila.
Witnesses said the jeep turned turtle in the area as its driver lost control over the steering while going to Kamalganj upazila from Srimangal.
In Dhaka, three people were killed and six others injured in a road accident on Dhaka-Aricha Highway in Dhamrai upazila on Saturday night.
Police and witnesses said the accident took place near Bathuli bus stand around 7.30pm when a passenger bus hit a microbus coming from the opposite direction, leaving the three dead on the spot.
The deceased could not be identified.
The injured were first admitted to a local clinic and then shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital as their conditions deteriorated.
In Naogaon, a trucker was killed and three people were injured in a road accident at Rambhadrapur in Sadar upazila on Saturday night.
The deceased was identified as Haidul Islam, 38, son of Khoka Miah of Abadpur village in the upazila.
The injured were first admitted to Naogaon Sadar Hospital from where Alam and Habil were shifted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital as their condition deteriorated.
Police said the accident occurred when a salt-laden truck crushed into another stationary truck and fell into a roadside ditch.
On information, police rushed to the spot, recovered the body of Haidul Islam and took the injured to the hospital.
