Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) on Sunday recovered 18,930 pieces of Yaba tablet from Teknaf in Cox’s Bazar.
Sources at the BGB Headquarters said a patrol team of BGB troops from Teknaf border outpost, led by Habilder Md Lutfar Rahman under 42 Border Guard Battalion, conducted a drive near Arai Sluice Gate adjacent to the Naaf River around 8:00 am.
The paramilitary troops recovered the unattended Yaba tablets worth about Tk 56,79,000 as the drug dealers managed to flee the scene sensing presence of the law enforcers.
However, one of the drug dealers was said to be Md Ziaur Rahman, 28, son of Nazirpara in Teknaf.
A case was filed.
