A Dhaka court on Monday ordered the investigating officers (IOs) to interrogate detained BNP standing committee member ASM Hannan Shah, its joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi and EC member Belal Ahmed at jail gate, after rejecting petitions for their bail and police remand.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate M Asaduzzaman Noor passed the order after hearing the petitions for bail and remand.
Earlier, police produced BNP leaders Hannan Shah and Belal in the court in two cases -- bomb explosion and attempting to murder police- by Motijheel Police Station while Rizvi was produced in the same court in three cases including the two cases of Motijheel police station and sought 10-day remand for each.
The magistrate directed the three IOs to question the three BNP leaders at the jail gate, if needed, within ten days, court sources said.
Plainclothes police stormed into the BNP central office at Nayapaltan and picked up Ruhul Kabir Rzvi and Belal Ahmed in the early hours of November 30.
