Key share price index at the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) gained Wednesday, the fourth trading day of the week.
The DSE benchmark index, DSEX gained 26.56 points or 0.60 percent to reach 4389.35 at the close of trading on the day. Of the 292 issues traded, 156 gained, 84 declined and 52 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 256.45 crore changed hands at the DSE on Wednesday.
The day’s top 10 gainers at the DSE were SPCL, Samorita, Wata Chemicals, MJL, Nitol Insurance, Agrani Insurance, Republic Insurance, Exim Bank First Mutual Fund, Apex Foods, and Meghna Cement.
The CSE key index, CSCX gained 41.06 points to reach 8332.51 at the close today. Of the 199 issues traded, 99 advanced, 65 suffered loss and 35 remained unchanged.
The value of the traded issues was Tk 22.15 crore at the CSE on Wednesday.
