Online Desk: A team of international monitors arrived on Friday at the site in rebel-held eastern Ukraine where a Malaysian jet crashed with 298 people on board after apparently being downed by a surface-to-air missile. An AFP reporter at the scene said a group of pro-Russian insurgents allowed the 30-person Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) team to inspect the location after a few minutes of negotiations. With international outcry mounting following the Malaysian Airlines plane crash, UN Security Council is currently holding an emergency meeting at the United Nations in New York. The council earlier on Friday demanded a full, independent and international investigation into the apparent shooting down of a Malaysian jet over Ukraine that killed 298 people on board. The jet came down in corn fields in the separatist-held region in Ukraine, spraying debris and body parts for kilometers around, with the United States claiming it was shot down in a missile attack.
