Key share price index in the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) suffered loss at close of trading on Wednesday, the fourth session of the week.
The DSE benchmark index, DSEX lost 12.11 points or 0.25 percent to reach 4660.52 at the close of trading on Wednesday. Of the 289 issues traded, 155 gained, 110 declined and 38 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 450.75 crore changed hands at the DSE on the day as against Tk 336.09 crore on Tuesday.
The day’s top 10 losers at the DSE were Brac Bank, UCBL, EBL, Midas Finance, EBL NRB Mutual Fund, Prime Finance, Envoy Textiles, Northern Insurance, Mithun Knitting, and AB Bank.
The CSE key index, CSCX also lost 37.11 points to reach 9099.65 at the close today. Of the 226 issues traded, 103 advanced, 96 suffered loss and 27 remained unchanged. The value of the traded issues was Tk 40.59 crore on Wednesday against Tk 31.49 crore on Tuesday.
