Microbus gas cylinder blast kills 4 in Ctg

Chittagong: Four members of a family, including a child, were killed and seven others injured as a microbus caught fire following a gas cylinder explosion at Suabeel in Fatikchhari upazila on Monday.
Three of the deceased were identified as Halima Begum, 60, Parveen Akhter, 30, and Bulbuli Begum, 60.
Officer-in-charge of Bhujpur Police Station Kabir Ahmed said the microbus gas cylinder went off with a big bang and the vehicle caught fire around 1 pm at Suabeel under Bhujpur Police Station, leaving its four passengers dead on the spot and seven others injured.
The accident occurred when Dubai expatiate Shafiul Alam was returning to his village from Shah Amanat airport along with his mother Bulbuli Begum and some other relatives.
The injured were rushed to Fatikchhari upazila health complex.
Police recovered the charred bodies.
