Reims, Aug 9 (AP) - Zlatan Ibrahimovic saved defending champion Paris Saint-Germain from defeat in its French league opener by scoring twice in a 2-2 draw at Reims on Friday.

The Sweden striker opened the scoring in the seventh minute but missed a penalty kick 13 minutes later.

Reims midfielder Prince Oniangue equalized from close range in the 22nd before Antoine Devaux gave the hosts the lead in the 34th.

Ibrahimovic salvaged a point with a lob from a tight angle in the 63rd.

"Tonight we didn't do what we needed to do in order to win this match," PSG coach Laurent Blanc told Canal Plus television. "No disrespect to Reims, but I think PSG gave away the match tonight, because we should have killed the game after 20 minutes."

PSG missed Ezequiel Lavezzi, David Luiz, Maxwell, Blaise Matuidi and Yohan Cabaye, who are building up fitness after playing at the World Cup. On Saturday, it's: Bastia vs. Marseille; Evian vs. Caen; Guingamp vs. Saint-Etienne; Lille vs. Metz; Montpellier vs. Bordeaux; Nantes vs. Lens; and Nice vs. Toulouse.

On Sunday, Monaco hosts Lorient and Rennes visits Lyon. Ibrahimovic was the top league scorer in the last two seasons and lived up to his reputation by taking a pass from Javier Pastore to slip the ball through the legs of Reims goalkeeper Johny Placide for the opening goal.

PSG could have led by as many as four goals after only 20 minutes but proved wasteful. "All these chances that we didn't convert maybe means that we are not ready yet," Blanc said.

Lucas Moura attempted to dribble past Placide in the 17th instead of passing to Ibrahimovic for a tap-in. Ibrahimovic made clear his anger at the Brazilian winger.

In a similar situation just a minute afterward, Marco Verratti fed Ibrahimovic, who hit the post.

Ibrahimovic then earned a penalty in the 19th but Placide dived to his left to save the spot kick.

That save fired Reims up. Oniangue capitalized on a missed clearance from PSG right back Gregory Van der Wiel to flick home a free kick from Diego Rigonato.

The hosts rode the momentum as Devaux outpaced Van der Wiel to meet a low cross from Gaetan Charbonnier and poke the ball home for a 2-1 lead.

Italian goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu saved PSG from further misery by tipping away a powerful strike from Diego that deflected off Marquinhos in the 53rd.

PSG needed a stroke of genius from Ibrahimovic to rally. Pastore found him on the left flank and Placide could only palm Ibrahimovic's clever lob into his own net.

In stoppage time, PSG could have won the match. But Reims defender Aissa Mandi cleared off the line a low shot from Clement Chantome and a header from Ibrahimovic.
