Key share price index in the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) gained at close on Tuesday, the third trading day of the week.
The DSE benchmark index, DSEX gained 32.69 points or 0.73 percent to reach 4498.77 at the close of trading on Tuesday. Of the 288 issues traded, 160 gained, 88 declined and 40 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 300.65 crore changed hands at the DSE on the day against Tk 298.96 crore on Monday.
During the day’s trading at the DSE, Pharmaceuticals and Textile performed well, while Cement and NBFI disappointed the investors most.
The day’s top 10 gainers at the DSE were Al-Hajtex, Rahim Textiles, Eastern Lubricants, Apex Spinning, Monno Ceramics, Monno Jute Stafflers, Reckitt Benckiser, Padma Life Insurance, Rupali Bank, and Sino Bangla.
The CSE key index, CSCX also gained 66.86 points to reach 8765.76 at the close today. Of the 217 issues traded, 113 advanced, 76 suffered loss and 28 remained unchanged. The value of the traded issues was Tk 24.58 crore on Tuesday.
