Key share price index at the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) suffered slight loss while Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) gained marginally on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.
The DSE benchmark index, DSEX shed 0.92 points or nearly 0.02 percent to close at 4641.45 on the day. Of the issues traded, 142 increased, 130 declined and 24 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 519.23 crore changed hands at the DSE on Sunday.
The day’s top 10 losers at the DSE were Modern Dyeing & Screen Printing, Deshbandhu Polymer Limited, Tung Hai Knitting & Dyeing, Fine Foods, Khulna Printing & Packaging, Far East Knitting & Dyeing, ICB, Rangpur Dairy & Food Products, Agni Systems, and BD Com.
The key CSE index, CSCX gained 16.33 points to close at 8741.58 on Sunday. Of the issues traded, 104 increased, 105 declined and 17 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 40.81 crore were traded at the CSE on the day.
