A two-day trade show titled ‘Indian Textile Exhibition (INTEXPO), Bangladesh’ will begin in the city on September 29 in an effort to strengthen the existing value chains and symbiotic relationship between Bangladesh and India.
The Synthetic and Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council (SRTEPC) of India in association with Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FBCCI), India-Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce & Industry (IBCCI) and High Commission of India will host the event at Sonargaon Hotel.
Some 23 leading Indian manufacturers will display their latest range of textile items, such as suiting, shirting, dress materials, embroidered fabrics, high fashion fabrics, furnishings, home textiles and made-ups like scarves, stoles, shawls, laces, synthetic and blended yarns under one roof right in Dhaka.
The exhibition is intended to provide a unique opportunity to the textile and garment business fraternity of Bangladesh to see the quality and range of Indian fabrics and yarns, for establishing personal contacts for mutually beneficial business tie ups, including possibility of having long term venture alliances with their Indian counterparts.
The aim of the Indian Textile Exhibition is to strengthen the existing value chains and symbiotic relationship that exists between the Readymade Garment (RMG) industry of Bangladesh and the Indian textile sector particularly in the fast growing man-made textiles.
The Synthetic and Rayon Textile Industry in India is vibrant and growing steadily.
