Key share price index at the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) suffered loss on Tuesday, the 3rd trading day of the week.
The DSE benchmark index, DSEX lost 16.63 points or nearly 0.31 percent to close at 5292.61 on the day. Of the 306 issues traded, 140 gained, 148 suffered loss and 18 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 1097.52 crore changed hands at the DSE on Tuesday.
The day’s top 10 losers at the DSE were Savar Refractories, Fu Wang Food, Progressive Life Insurance, Kay and Que, Zeal Bangla Sugar Mills, Eastern Insurance, LR Global Bangladesh Mutual Fund 1, Global Heavy Chemicals, Mercantile Bank, and Popular Life Insurance.
The CSE key index, CSCX shed 36.03 points to reach 9935.84 at close on Tuesday. Of the 236 issues traded, 83 advanced, 138 suffered loss and 15 remained unchanged.
The value of the traded issues was Tk 67.92 crore at the CSE on the day.
DSE, CSE down
