70 sued over Sylhet JCD clash

Sylhet: A case has been filed against 70 leaders and activists of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) in connection with Friday’ s clash between two factions of the BNP’s student front.
Kamal Hossain, sub-inspector of Kotwali Police Station, filed the case against 30 identified and 40 unidentified leaders and activists of JCD on Friday night.
President of the district unit JCD Advocate Syed Ahmed, its general secretary Rahat Chowdhury Munna, JCD city unit president Nurul Alam Siddique Khaled, general secretary Abu Saleh Mohamamd Lokman and senior vice president Ahmed Chowdhury Foyez were among the accused.
Earlier, at least 10 people sustained injuries in a clash between two factions of the city unit of JCD at the Central Shaheed Minar at Zindabazar in the city in the afternoon.
