US Ambassador in Dhaka Dan Mozena on Tuesday said the US and Bangladesh have the common enemy and a shared battle to fight against criminals and terrorists.
“America is your partner in this shared battle against criminals and terrorists. We all face a common enemy, and success in defeating crime and terrorism truly benefits us all,” he said while addressing the graduation ceremony of a 10-day Major Case Management Course at Police Staff College.
The US envoy congratulated the participating police officers of the course and hoped that they can play a more effective role in fighting crimes and terrorism in the country.
Additional SP of the Police Bureau of Investigation M Iqbal and Additional DIG (training and support) M Feroz Al Muzahid also spoke on the occasion.
The course was facilitated by FBI of the US to 27 officers from various law enforcement agencies of the country.
The course addressed areas like transnational investigative techniques, enterprise theory of investigation, post-bomb blast investigation, modern forensic techniques, terrorism financing and money laundering.
This training was offered as part of a Counterterrorism Cooperation Initiative signed by the governments of Bangladesh and the United States on October 22 last year.
