BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia is going to sit with BNP standing committee members on Wednesday night to discuss the country’s latest political situation and work out the party’s next course of action to force the government arrange snap polls under a non-party administration.
The meeting is scheduled to start around 8:30 pm at Khaleda Zia’s Gulshan political office, BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi told.
Besides, he said the BNP chairperson will hold another meeting with party vice chairmen and joint secretaries general on Thursday night at her Gulshan office.
Party sources said Khaleda Zia at the two meetings will discuss with the party policymakers and senior leaders the country’s overall political situation, work out their movement strategy, finalize the next action programs and give them direction to put the opposition leaders and activists on a ‘war mood’ across the country to make the party’s upcoming movement a success.
The BNP chairperson has been on a countrywide mass campaign to drum up public support in favor of her party-led 20-party’s demand for a fresh inclusive election under a non-party administration.
As part of the mass campaign, Khaleda has already held two public meetings in Lalmonirhat and Natore. In the two rallies, she asked he party men to get ready with all-out-preparations so that they can respond to her call for a decisive movement anytime.
Khaleda is also scheduled to address a rally in Kishoreganj on November 12 and another in Comilla on November 29.
