Khaleda shocks at death of Shaheen
Staff Reporter BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia on Sunday expressed profound shock at the death of Barisal city BNP general secretary advocate Kamrul Hasan Shaheen. Shaheen died of cardiac arrest on Saturday night at his residence at the age of 58. In a condolence message, Khaleda said, “He had worked hard for the publicity and expansion of nationalist politics. It’s not only the residents of Barisal, but also the people of the entire county will ever remember his contributions towards strengthening the nationalist force with great gratitude.” Barisal city BNP has lost a very competent and active organizer who was devoted to implementing the ideals of BNP founder Ziaur Rahman, she added. The BNP chief prayed for salvation of the departed soul and conveyed her deep sympathy to the bereaved family members. In another condolence message, BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir also condoled Shaheen’s death.
