President Abdul Hamid will visit India on December 18 at the invitation of his Indian counterpart Pranab Mukherjee.
“The President will leave for New Delhi on December 18 on a four-day tour at the invitation of Indian President Pranab Mukherjee,” Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali said on Saturday.
The minister said this at a press briefing held at his ministry over the outcome of the 18th Saarc Summit.
In May this year, Indian President Pranab Mukherjee invited President Abdul Hamid to visit India.
On May 11, Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Pankaj Saran handed over the invitation letter of Pranab Mukharjee to President Abdul Hamid by making a courtesy call on him.
